1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the CareCoda mobile application or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Account Creation & Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for the caregivers you invite to your household and their use of the Service.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

CareCoda offers paid subscription tiers (Family and Premium). Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

All billing is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's or Google's applicable terms and billing policies.

4. Refund Policy

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple and Google, not CareCoda. Please refer to Apple's refund policy at support.apple.com or Google's refund policy for applicable terms. CareCoda does not issue independent refunds for App Store or Play Store purchases.

5. Medical Disclaimer

The information provided in CareCoda — including care logs, pattern insights, predictions, and any notifications — is for informational and organisational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice. Always consult a licensed paediatrician or qualified healthcare provider regarding your child's health, development, feeding, or sleep. Do not delay seeking medical attention based on information in CareCoda.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all care event data and content you enter into CareCoda ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant CareCoda a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell or share your User Content with third parties for commercial purposes.

7. Account Termination & Data Deletion

You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time via the app settings or by contacting privacy@carecoda.app. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. CareCoda reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CareCoda shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data arising out of your use or inability to use the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CareCoda is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. [Jurisdiction to be confirmed by legal counsel.]

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
